On October 18 to 19, the 2nd Jiangsu ecology and sci-tech exposition and industry-university-research collaboration fair was held in economic development zone of Suqian, Jiangsu. Yunhan Xiao, Vice-president of Nanjing branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), attended this exposition and gave a brief introduction of CAS institutes and achievements participating the fair to municipal party committee secretary and other leaders of Suqian.
Nanjing branch of CAS paid high attention to this exposition and actively organized CAS research institutes to join this activity. On the basis of effective previous communication between research institutes and enterprises, 15 CAS units and 20 experts including people acquiring “Thousand Talents Project” and “State 863 Project” took part in this fair. Nanjing branch collected approximately 200 scientific and technological achievements and selected more than 40 of those on display in exhibition, which mostly covered Suqian industrial fields.
In this fair, some satisfactory results have been achieved. Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of CAS and Institute of Automation of CAS signed cooperation agreements with enterprises of Suqian respectively. This exposition further promoted science and technology cooperation between CAS research institutes and Suqian enterprises and speeded up the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Suqian.
