Nanjing Branch 2016 first popularization of science activity “Pursuing Science Camp” successfully concluded. In this activity, more than 60 teachers and students from Beijing No. 65 middle school were divided into 9 groups. They came to the labs of Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology and Nanjing Broadband Wireless Mobile Communications Research and Development Center of CAS. Under the guidance of scientific research personnel, the students studied 9 science subjects.
The research topics in this event were selected from the important research projects of the scientific researchers. The scientific researchers made some adjustments to the subjects, appropriated to reduce the difficulty and simplify some complex and time-consuming processes. Participated students in the activity operated the scientific instruments of institutes, widened the field of vision and experienced the hardships of scientific research work.
In the afternoon of 16th, summing-up meeting was held in the big conference room of Nanjing Branch. During the meeting, each group students showed 15 minutes speech on their research results. The scientific personnel in the guidance of scientific research timely reviewed, pointed out the lightspot and insufficiency in the process of scientific practice and inspired their divergent thinking.
