On May 18th, 2012, wide temperature area large capacity Ni-H battery project was formally put into production in Tianning Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu. Erwei Shi, vice president of CAS and Chunfu Zhang, member of Standing Committee of Municipal Committee and the minister of Organization Ministry of Changzhou, attended the opening ceremony.
Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of CAS and Tianning district government jointly constructed Changzhou Institute of Energy Storage Materials & Devices. The institute carries out scientific research platform construction on lithiumion battery cathode materials, Electrolyte and fine organic synthesis. Wide temperature area large capacity Ni-H battery which has proprietary intellectual property rights has advantage of large capacity, fast charging and low cost. When this production line is finished, it will bring more than 30 million yuan sales of revenue.
