Sponsored by Nanjing Branch Sports Association, 2013 annual Staff Table Tennis Team Event of Nanjing Branch of CAS was held in Nanjing University Student Sports Center on May 11. This game included men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. 8 teams from each institute of CAS Nanjing participated in the game.

Mr. Zhang Xingzhong, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Chairman of Sports Association, hoped that through this activity the whole Branch’s fitness culture atmosphere can be driven, so that everyone can be into CAS “Innovation 2020” and Institute “135” development plan with strong physique and vitality. He also wished everyone show off themselves in the game and compete for their best.

All competitors played tenaciously, brightly and bravely in the game. Many beautiful shots won the audience’s applause and cheers. In a mixed doubles game of 11-point system, the final score was 18:16. The spirit of never give up was shown incisively and vividly.

After a day of intense competition, Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) team won the first place, Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics & Technology (NIAOT) team took second place, and Institute of Soil Science and Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology tied for third.
