Prof. Zhou Jianmin, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial CPPCC and President of Nanjing Branch of CAS, surveyed and guided Energy and Power Research Center of CAS on July 14.

Mr. Xiao Yunhan, Vice President of Nanjing Branch of CAS and Director of Energy and Power Research Center of CAS, introduced the center’s scientific research and team construction, especially the center site’s construction work and challenges. President Zhou asked details, discussed with Mr. Xiao about current problems and site construction in depth, also put forward specific measures.

Accompanied by President Xiao, President Zhou visited the test area, had a comprehensive understanding of gasification and gas turbine test device. President Zhou fully affirmed the center’s phased results in low-carbon clean energy, power research facilities, research and validation of key technology. President Zhou had full confidence of the center to achieve efficient, clean, low-carbon energy technologies. He said he would continue support the center to accelerate the construction of the teat apparatus and wished greater contribution be achieved in undertaking tasks of gas turbine major national science and technology infrastructure projects and key state science and technology projects.
