| Yang Tao was appointed Vice President of Nanjing Branch |

On November 29, Nanjing Branch of CAS held a meeting of all staff and announced the appointment of Vice President of Nanjing Branch. CAS Under-Secretary-General Wu Jianguo, Deputy Director of Bureau of Personnel CAS Chen Guang, Deputy Director of Infrastructure Office of Bureau of Facility Support and Budget CAS Kong Fanwen and Director of General Office of Bureau of Facility Support and Budget CAS Lin Mingjiong were present at the meeting. Nearly 30 persons, all members of the leadership and office staff of Nanjing Branch, attended the meeting. Meeting was conducted by Zhang Xingzhong, Party Chief and Vice President of Nanjing Branch. Deputy Director of Bureau of Personnel CAS Chen read CAS appointment document, briefly introduced the resume and work of Yang Tao, and gave him fully affirmed and highly appraised. Nanjing Branch, Wu Jianguo said, is the birthplace of CAS and its development need the support of CAS authority. The current is an important opportunity for the development of Nanjing Branch which will play a more important role in planning. Vice President Yang first thanked CAS and leadership of Nanjing Branch for the trust in his speech. He said he feel responsibility, pressure and challenges. He would familiar work as soon as possible, change roles, service institutes and S&T personnel, improve the management level and do a good job. On behalf of leadership, President Zhou said, warmly welcome Mr. Yang to Nanjing Branch. He pointed out that Yang Tao has resource allocation and management expertise, which is beneficial to promote the development of Nanjing Branch and hoped that Yang will bring good ideas, good style and good practice to Nanjing Branch and strive for more support and guidance.
