On May 22nd, Innovation Culture Symposium cum “Two Seminar” work conference was held in Nanjing. The meeting focused on the research and deployment of the construction of innovation culture, and the work of “ideological and political work Association” and “Party Building work Association” (referred to as the "two seminar") over the next two years.

Fang xin, the Vice Communist Party Secretary of CAS, put out three points on innovation culture construction: 1.We should attach great importance to and vigorously strengthen the construction of innovation culture. Half people of CAS are 80s and 90s, who are playing an important role in the development of CAS, which makes the construction of innovation culture is more urgent.

2. We should combine closely the construction of innovation culture with the establishment of the socialist core values. These 24 words of the socialist core values carry the pursuit of value of our nation for thousands of years, which CAS should adhere to and practice. We should also uphold the scientific spirit and "innovating technology, serving country, benefiting people" concept, and strive to achieve the "four first".

3. We should deal well with several relations in the construction of innovation culture. One is internal and external. When external conditions such as the input of science and technology resources, the management system remain unchanged, the internal construction of scientific research institutions should be strengthened. Two is the tangible and intangible. To realize the innovation goal of science and technology, the environment of the park, management system and other tangible elements should provide support; values, goals and other intangible elements should provide guidance.

Three is the unity and diversity. CAS must has uniform requirements and deployment on the construction of innovation culture, inspect the carry out situation of institutes, and at the same time, give full play to their enthusiasm, creativity and diversity.

He yan, the Party member and Deputy Secretary General of CAS, had a speech. He pointed out that “Two Seminar” deployed lots of key projects and insisted on the combination of theory and practice in the past two years. Innovation culture system of CAS was condensed and a number of outstanding research achievements were achieved. He hoped that the core values with characteristics of CAS should be solidified into a habit and be the guide for people of CAS.
