China’s top science awards’ ceremony for the year 2014 was held on Jan. 9. Two achievements of Nanjing Branch CAS won the 2nd prize of the 2014 State Scientific and Technological Progress Award (SSTPA). They are Comprehensive Management of the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, a project led by Zhang Jiabao from the Institute of Soil Science CAS and "The Pulse of Prehistoric Life", a popular science book chief edited by Academician Zhou Zhiyan, and wrote by Prof. FENG Weimin, Prof. Xu Hankui and Dr. Fu Qiang from Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology CAS.
