On June 6th, Taizhou Center of CAS held experts workshop to expound the project feasibility of comprehensive utilization of medicinal plant resources in Taizhou. CAS academicians Zhaoliang Zhu, Handong Sun, Yukui Zhang, CAE academicians Shengli Yang, Pingkai Ouyang, the president of Nanjing Branch of CAS Jianmin Zhou, the vice president of Nanjing Branch of CAS Tao Yang and other experts took part in this workshop.
Beijing He Jun Consulting Co. Ltd. reported the project feasibility study and construction planning. After discussion, experts considered that Taizhou medicine industry played an important role in China and biomedicine was Taizhou strategic emerging industries. The expert group recommended that Taizhou municipal party committee and municipal government could bring this project into 13th Five Year Plan and actively strive for the support of Jiangsu province and the relevant departments of state. The deputy mayor of Taizhou Jie Yang expressed that Taizhou municipal party committee and municipal government would focus on cultivating comprehensive utilization of medicinal plant resources according to the requirements of the expert group.
