Name for China’s first scientific satellite “dark matter satellite”

Sponsored by Bureau of Science Communication CAS, Purple Mountain Observatory, National Space Science Center and People's Daily launched the naming contest on the morning of September 29 at Purple Mountain Observatory. Leaders from Nanjing Branch CAS, Purple Mountain Observatory, National Space Science Center, 24 Central and local major news media, dark matter satellite chief scientist Chang Jin, chief designer of dark matter satellite scientific application system Wu Jian and deputy chief designer of dark matter satellite scientific application system Fan Yizhong attended the ceremony, which was host by director of Purple Mountain Observatory Yang Ji.

Some winners of the naming contest will have the opportunity to visit the Jiuquan launch site to observe the satellite launch.
