On September 23, Cao Jianlin, Vice Minister of Ministry of national science and technology, visited the Energy and Power Research Centre of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

During the investigation, Cao Jianlin focused on understanding the gas turbine, new gasification and other IGCC co-pilot platform, and interacted with the research team.

At the forum, Xiao Yunhan, director of the Energy and Power Research Centre of Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a detailed report on the center location, construction progress, scientific research work and results.

Cao Jianlin fully affirmed the work and achievements, and pointed out that China's special lack of key technology between basic research and technology industry, which severely restricted the key technology research and development, engineering applications and industrialization.

Independent research facilities of the Energy and Power Research Centre will make a unique contribution to bottlenecks of key technologies and equipments.

Cao Jianlin put forward a few suggestions finally: firstly, construction and output should be emphasized at the same time; secondly, take the current demand into account; thridly,strengthen international cooperation should be strengthened.
