2015 Awarding meeting of Science and Technology Progress Prize of Jiangsu Province was held on Feb.26th in Nanjing. Three programs recommended by Nanjing Branch obtained two first prizes and one second prize. Huang Diying, the researcher of Nanjing institute of Geology and Oalaeontology, CAS obtained the first prize, who finished the program called “Fossils of insects in the middle-late Mesozoic era in tiger ditch biota and the jehol biota”. Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics in collaboration with Changzhou University got another first prize, which was called “Attapulgite is of high value in the key technology innovation and its industrial application”. Institute of Soil Science, CAS in collaboration with Nanjing Agriculture University got a second prize, which was called “Accelerated governance cultivation and agricultural utilization of Binhai saline-alkali land”.

The program “Fossils of insects in the middle-late Mesozoic era in tiger ditch biota and the jehol biota” began in the turn of the century. By the end of 2012 more than 60 SCI papers had been accomplished.

The program “Attapulgite is of high value in the key technology innovation and its industrial application” has got independent intellectual property rights in technology invention chain. People successfully developed high value products, for example, nano inorganic gel, efficient palm oil decoloring agent and nano conductive composite materials.

The program “Accelerated governance cultivation and agricultural utilization of Binhai saline-alkali land” successfully built new technology of multi-scale and real-time monitoring and evaluation in Binhai saline-alkali soil salinity, which provided scientific support for saline-alkali land management planning and rational planting layout.
