On April 26th, Tan Tieniu, vice president of CAS, visited Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics(SINANO) and Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (SIBET). 

Tieniu Tan visited the exhibition halls, laboratories and engineering platform, heard about the introduction of personnel, discipline layout, "135" planning and transformation, and discussed with main leaders and and key technical personnel. He stressed out: Firstly, remember our mission and aim at "three oriented" and "four first"; Secondly, strengthen the discipline strategic research, optimize the layout of disciplines and carefully plan the "one three five"; Thirdly, continue to strengthen international cooperation and enhance international awareness; Fourthly, promote the transfer of scientific and technological achievements into special action and strengthen cooperation with local government; Also, science communication work should be strengthened and significant results should be reported timely.
