Recently, the project "1 meters of new vacuum solar telescope and its application in solar observation” of Nanjing Astronomical Instruments Company won the special grade award of 2015 annual Yunnan provincial science and Technology Progress Award. 

One meter new vacuum solar telescope (NVST) is the main equipment of solar physics and Space Science in our country, which is the main equipment of the optical and near infrared observation of the sun. At the same time, the project has been recognized as one of the world's three advanced terrestrial solar observation systems. At present, Yunnan province is recommending the project for the 2016 National Science and technology progress award. 

In the development of the NVST project, Nanjing Astronomical Instruments Company completed the NVST large vacuum window grinding and polishing. 

the imaging grade vacuum window has diameter of 1200 mm, thickness of 75 mm, and it's the second key component of NVST imaging system. The company also completed processing and on-site design, which can move 13 meters and retractable dome air baffle installation. It meets the NVST high resolution observation of the seeing of excellent local and completed the telescope mechanical structure and parts processing.
