Nanjing Branch CAS has been vigorously promoting postgraduate cultivation from simple teaching to the integration of science research and theory education with rich and high-quality S&T resources into talent train advantage. Through the practice of integration of science and education, Nanjing Branch explored the way to cultivate the talents with the both capacity of research and invention, and tried to grasp the essential characteristics of scientific research and talent training.

The results achieved were remarkable. In 2016, 13 doctoral students and 9 graduate students honored with the National Scholarship, 6 students won the Chinese Academy of Sciences President Scholarship and 3 doctoral students the Chinese Academy of Sciences Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation, 1 doctoral student and 2 graduate students obtained Jiangsu Provincial Excellent doctoral dissertation and Excellent Master thesis
