In recent years, Nanjing Branch CAS has been adhering to "S&T Innovation based on talent" and putting the talent as the first resource of R&D, as well as has always been building and strengthening the talent advantage as the most competitive advantage. In order to strengthen research teams building, Nanjing Branch focuses talents’ training with major research tasks, at the same time improves reward system, to encourage every research staff to maximize their own ablity. Through these measures, a number of scientific researchers achieve a lot in the international academic front, the strategic researches and serving economic construction. 

Recently, Jiangsu Provincial Government issued a notice to award Prof. Shen Renfang, Prof. Zhao Changyin, Prof. Wang Xiangdong and Prof. Qin Hua as Jiangsu Young and Middle-aged Experts with outstanding contributions. 63 researchers in Nanjing had been listed as Jiangsu “333 High Level Talents Engineering”.
