In January 12, 2017, University of Science & Technology of China, Nanjing Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences signed a cooperation agreement with Jurong Government on the base construction of both graduate student training and commercialization of research findings. USTC Vice President Prof. Zhou Xianyi, NJCAS Vice President Prof. Yang Guishan, Zhenjiang Vice Mayor Cao Lihong and Jurong Party Secretary Xu Wen, Jurong Acting Mayor Pan Qun and other leaders attended the signing ceremony.

To actively implement the national strategy of innovation-driven development, vigorously promote USTC, NJCAS personnel training and technology transferring as well as Co-op with Jurong in the field of R$D, education and social development, USTC and NJCAS had been conferring friendly with Jurong Government on the base construction-in Baohua town Jurong city- with the principle of "complementary advantages and win-win cooperation" since September 2016, and had been conducting on-the-spot investigation. After months of efforts, USTC, NJCAS and Jurogn Government agreed to gather strength to build high-end talent gathering, Graduate Innovation and entrepreneurship incubation base, as well as the base for the transformation of technological achievements focusing on the fields of astronomic, Erath sciences, biology, optical electronics, new materials and biomedical engineering etc.
