On the afternoon of January 22nd, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Jiangxi Provincial People's government held a symposium on the cooperation between the two sides and signed the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement. CAS President Bai Chunli, CAS vice president Zhang Yaping and Jiangxi governor Liu Qi, vice governor Xie Ru, attended the forum hosted by CAS secretary general Deng Maicun.

At the forum, Yang Tao, deputy party secretary of Nanjing Branch CAS, reported both main co-op works during the period of "12th Five-Year" and key tasks in "13th Five-Year". Since 2011, more than 30 CAS institutes had carried out cooperation projects over 100 in S&T transformation, added up additional sales revenue 11.4 billion RMB and profit 1.9 billion RMB for local enterprises. During the period of "12th Five-Year", a variety of cooperation among the CAS institutes and Jiangxi enterprises had made contribution to the development of Jiangxi S&T, economy and industry.

Liu Qi, being very satisfied with the close cooperation between CAS and Jiangxi, said that Jiangxi enjoy the bonus of the cooperation, and evaluated what CAS has been done for Jiangxi. He hoped that CAS will continue to support Jiangxi development.

Bai Chunli appreciated what had been achieved during the period of "12th Five-Year" by the joint efforts of both sides. He hoped, based on the new co-op agreement, intensify efforts to satisfy the demand of Jiangxi development of Jiangxi Province. He stressed to focus on both the key technology and the mature technology in supporting Jiangxi eco-development. He wished to push cooperation to a new level.

CAS Vice President Zhang Yaping and Jiangxi Government Secretary General Zhang Yong signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the each side.

Some other leaders from both CAS and Jiangxi participated in the forum and signing ceremony.
