From January 19th to 21, 86 students from Beijing Shijingshan Experimental Middle School and Changping Middle School  No. 1 entered the laboratories in Nanjing Institute of Geography Limnology CAS and Zhongshan Botanical Garden to carry out scientific explore activities on 10 research projects under the guidance of scientific researchers.  

Based on the research undertaken by S&T researchers in the institutes CAS, the 10 projects were selected according to the knowledge structure and teaching situation of students. Students participated in the activities of operating scientific instruments, and experienced the hard work of a scientific research, set up the correct scientific attitude, as well as stimulated the interest in learning.  

On 21 am, the students conducted reports on the results of scientific research. At the meeting, they made their research presentation. The researchers commented on the highlights and shortcomings in the process of students' scientific practice, inspired students’ divergent thinking to deeper exploration, and enhance the ability of understanding and application of knowledge, improve the learning efficiency.
