In order to celebrate Youth Day, enhance graduates’ communication and cooperation, enrich the graduates’ cultural life, 2nd Karaoke contest “Gathering and Song for Youth” organized by Graduate Students’ Union of Nanjing branch CAS were held, preliminaries in 26th April and finals in 4th May.

25 groups of players from 8 institutes and enterprise participated in preliminaries. 12 groups of players won and entered the finals. On the evening of May 4th, the final opened in the chorus of “love to each other”. The competition not only had the personality VCR demonstration and the incomparable song singing, but also had teacher's emotional singing and schoolmates' dynamic dance. The notes and sounds beat songs into continuous applause of the audience and expressed in the form of a variety of music for music players and perception of life, also show Nanjing branch graduates full of youthful spirit.

After a fierce competition, with superb singing strength and good stage style, Liu Chang form Nanjing Institute of Soil Science won the first prize, Sun Xin and Feng Bin shared the secondary prize, Li Xiajun and Sun Heyu as well as Han Xiaokang embraced the third grade prize. Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology awarded the best group award, Sun Xin won the best Stage-Style award, Liang Dong and Luan Lu won the best Popularity Award and the best combination award.
