A team of graduates from Purple Mountain Observatory CAS, Liu Cong, Xue Jianzhao and Xiang Liang, won the Third Degree Prize in the Thirteenth National Graduate Mathematics Modeling contest named "HUAWEI Cup" in 2016. During the period of three days and three nights of continuous combat, 3 graduates both cooperated closely and work hard independently, finally completed the competition answer in the prescribed time successfully.

As one of "National Graduate Innovative Practice Series" key events, National Graduate Mathematics Modeling contest had been sponsoring by Degree and Graduate Education Development Center under the Ministry of Education. 8872 teams of graduates from 432 universities and research institutes participated in "HUAWEI Cup" in 2016 successfully.
