On June 21st, Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics CAS was selected as National “Mass entrepreneurship & Innovation” Demonstration base.

As an Innovative Research Institute built by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu Province and Suzhou city, the institute had established the concept of "committing to nanotechnology innovation, leading the development of emerging industries" from the beginning on. After 10 years of development, the institute had created the basic research system composed of new materials, nano devices and applications, nano biomedicine and nano bionic etc., created the application basic research system composed of nano fiber and GaN substrate film center, development center engineering center, and created industry research and extension system composed of the nano processing platform, test analysis platform and nano biochemical platform. Now the institute has become the source of technology development in Suzhou nano industry and fostered more than 300 high-tech enterprises, provided public service for over more than 1000 enterprises, trained staff more than 10 thousand people, and become a strong support for the development of Suzhou nanotechnology industry.

Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics attaches great importance to be National “Mass entrepreneurship & Innovation” demonstration base and sets up a leading group to improve the organizational system. The institute will focus on Suzhou nano industry and provide first-class service to make a contribution to Suzhou economic development.
