From September 20 to September 21, Bai Chunli, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the Nanjing Branch of CAS and held a forum with the directors of the institutes and other experts to promote the scientific research of the Nanjing Branch.

On the afternoon of September 20, Bai Chunli, accompanied by Mayor of Nanjing Municipality, Miao Ruilin, party secretary of Nanjing Branch, Zhu Huaicheng, and vice-president of Nanjing Branch, Yang Guishan, respectively visited the Purple Mountain Observatory and Nanjing Chilin S&T Town.

On the morning of September 21, Bai Chunli attended the forum with directors and scientists from the institutes of Nanjing Branch. Yang Guishan and Zhu Huai-cheng successively reported the recent research progress of the institutes.
