From July 23 to 24, Vice-Chairman of University Council and Executive Vice-President of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) WANG Yanfen visited Nanjing Branch for the preparatory work of Nanjing College, UCAS, accompanied by President of Nanjing Branch YANG Guishan.

On July 23, WANG visited the construction site of Nanjing College at Chilin Innovation Park and listened to the overall construction plan and the current difficulties of the project. She pointed out that the construction of Nanjing College had been strongly supported by the government, and rapid preliminary progress had been made. She hoped that Nanjing Branch and the government could continue to work together to further promote the project.

On July 24, CAS institutes in Nanjing attended a symposium held by WANG at Nanjing Branch. YANG Guishan introduced the general situation of Nanjing College at the meeting. The participants respectively introduced the graduate education of the institutes, discussed the educational problems, and put forward some useful suggestions. WANG listened carefully and exchanged views on the issues with them. She hoped that the institutes could take advantage of the establishment of Nanjing College to further improve the quality of graduate education.
