On October 18, 2018, JIA Ping, Director of the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CIOMP), accompanied by Vice Director ZHANG Xuejun, ZHANG Tao and WANG Jianli, visited Purple Mountain Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences (PMO). PMO Director YANG Ji and Vice Director ZHAO Zhangyin gave them an enthusiastic reception.

JIA Ping and YANG Ji respectively gave a brief introduction about the history and discipline construction of CIOMP and PMO. Then scientists from both institutes carried out extensive and deep exchanges on the research frontiers of optics and mechatronics. They hoped that both institutes would further strengthen their research cooperation and establish closer academic relationship in future.

After the meeting, JIA Ping paid an inspection visit to the CAS Key Laboratory of Millimeter Wave and Submillimeter Wave.
