September 10th marks the 37th Teachers’ Day and the 119th anniversary of the founding of Nanjing Normal University (NNU).

Signing Ceremony between NNU, Nanjing Branch and the Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was held.

In addition, the asteroid number 216446, discovered by PMO, was named “NNU Star” with the approval of the Small Bodies Naming Committee of the International Astronomical Union (IAU). President of Nanjing Branch YANG Guishan read the communique on the ceremony.
