From September 28 to October 15India solar chromospheric telescope developed by NIAOT was successfully installed and adjusted on site.

All the technical index and performance parameter of telescope met the requirements of the contract so that first-class level of the solar chromosphere was obtained in the worldwhich was accepted by India.

The solar chromospheric telescope was specially developed for India Research Institute of astrophysicsinstalled in BST-Kodai astronomical observatory which has 200mm optical aperture for telescope and 36mm optical for filter(center wavelength 6562.81Åhalf width band 0.4Å).

Full disk solar chromosphere image and fine structure of local solar chromosphere image can be obtained by switching focal length of Optical system .

Constant temperature precision of filter can reach one percent degrees Celsiuswhich spectral lines can be shift in the range of +/-4 Å by computer controlling.

The telescope directly driven by torque motor has function of automatic pointbi-axis automatic tracking and automatic guide CCD.
