In September 19^th morning, 2015 National Science Day Jiangsu Activity was held in Jiangsu Youth Activity Center. Xu Nanping, Vice President of Jiangsu Province and Yang Guishan, Vice President of Nanjing Branch of CAS attended the ceremony.  

Nanjing Branch of CAS as one of the hosts actively organized CAS institutes in its system to participate in the activities. A few institutes such as Purple Mountain Observatory and Institute of Botany of CAS actively spread scientific knowledge to the public by physical display, panels and brochure. The activity achieved good social effect. 

Scientific and technological innovation annual exhibition tour of CAS was a major bright spot of this activity. This exhibition tour was operated by National Science Library of CAS and sponsored by Bureau of Science Communication CAS. The exhibition brought together many major scientific research achievements of the frontier belongs of CAS institutes. Scientific and technological achievements were showed through modern multi-media means such as the touch screen and virtual reality to the public. This activity improved the social public engagement, which greatly reduced the difficulty of understanding of complex scientific problems for social public.
