Prof.Gerhard Heinzel (Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics) visited NIAOT

On November 4 2012Prof.Gerhard Heinzel (Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics) and Prof.Hu Wenrui (academician of mechanical institute of CAS) visited Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics & Technology (NIAOT).

 

Prof. Gerhard Heinzel is the leader of all the space activities at the Albert Einstein Instituteinvolving in Grace-follow on, LISA pass-finder and LISA as well as NGO projects, especially on the space laser interferometer development.

 

Prof. Gerhard Heinzel gave a lecture about Space detecting for gravitational wave and had detail discussion on telescope design of LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) with related person of NIAOT.

 

After then Prof. Gerhard Heinzel visited labs of NIAOT. Both sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation on space detecting for gravitational wave in the future.
