On April 11th, Professor Lin Li from The Royal Academy of Engineering visited SIBET. After a warm greeting, he gave a lecture on principles, progress and applications of Super-resolution Optical Nanoscopes. Tang Yuguo, President of SIBET hosted the meeting, vice president Wu Xiaodong as well as staff from Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Medical Optics, Research and Development Dept., Medical Micro and Nano-technology Dept., Technology Transfer Dept. attend the meeting and communicate with one another. SIBET aims to meet major optical microscope needs in China. In the meantime, super-resolution optical microscopy techniques is one of the most important research directions in the field of international optics. It is also a major breakthrough in the implementation of basic, strategic and forward-looking research work in SIBET. Professor Lin Li, a founder and non-executive director of the company, co-inventor of the superresolution optical nanoscope technology, inventor and co-inventor of 47 patents and author/coauthor of 550 scientific publications in optical/laser technology, Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (the highest recognition for an engineer in the UK), recipient of Royal Academy of Engineering 2013 Frank Whittle medal (one such medal is awarded each year by the Royal Academy of Engineering) for outstanding and continuous achievements in engineering innovations in manufacturing that has benefited the UK economy across the biomedicine, aerospace, automotive, energy and security industries.
