On July 7th, Prof . Viacheslav Popov who is from Saratov Branch of Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics, Russian Academy of Sciences gave a lecture at SINANO. The leture was chaired by Prof. Qin Hua, and organized by the Nano-devices Devision.
The title of the report is “Electrodynamics of Plasma Oscillations in Microstructures and Microdevices with Two-dimensional Electron Channels”, which is the first lecture of Prof Popov’visit to SINANO, and there will be more afterwards. In his talk, Prof. Popov shows us his theoretical work on two-dimensional plasmons in the high mobility electron transistor channel, and plasmons under different geometries can modulate incident terahertz waves with various results.
