Dr. Michael Melchin from St. Francis Xavier University has assumed his CAS visiting professorship at Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences  (NIGPAS) in this April. His cooperative research with NIGPAS colleagues are palaeontology and stratigraphy of the O-S black shales in South China and further design of the GBDB system.
