Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics (SINANO), CAS is joint founded by Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), the government of Jiangsu Province and the government of Suzhou city, located in Dushu Lake High Education District with elegant environment and greenery sceneries, also in Suzhou Industrial Park.

 

According to the designed plan which CAS brought up about the adjustment of technological allocation, SINANO will carry out the fundamental, strategic, prospective research in relative fields, aiming at the internationally technological advancement, national strategic demand and future industrial development. Establishing public technical platform, SINANO exploit it backbone and leadership function as national scientific institute, providing new knowledge and technology for modern manufacturing industry and high technological industry.

 

The allocation of SINANO combines nanometer technology with other subjects such as information science, life science, physics and chemistry etc., distinguished from traditional setting mode, realizing the successful transition from microelectronic technology to nanometer electronic technology, developing intelligent microscopic medical diagnosis system and microscopic therapy technology.

 

SINANO will associate knowledge innovation, technological innovation and region innovation closely during the process of the establishment and development, aiming at the demand of regionally economical society; she will cooperate with various national innovative systems to promote the translation of laboratory achievements and to enter the value chain of economical social innovation. She will combine the technology innovation and talents training, strengthening the cooperation with relative universities, establishing research team with reasonable strategy and strong innovative ability, training postgraduates, becoming the center for fostering and bringing up specialists, also aiming at the society to train wide-ranging persons. Joint developed by CAS and the local government, SINANO established strategic cooperation closely with world-class research institute and enterprises, gathering various innovative elements including knowledge, technology, and talents etc., carrying out technological innovation under the background of economic globalization and fast development of knowledge economy.
